Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Automation with Ansible and Terraform (Part 1)
My name is Bruno Dzogovic and I am your professor in this course, therefore please feel free to ask any questions. The lectures will be supplemented with handouts (and these presentations) to help you build your projects and prepare you for the exam, which shall be uploaded in Canvas that you can access through your user. This introductory video is the first lecture of the series of 3 about automating hybrid cloud infrastructures and are part of the Configuration Mmanagement (CM) and Infrastructure as a Code (IaaC) tutorials. We cover the concepts of automation best practices to enable hybrid environments using Ansible and Terraform, as well as some misconceptions and bad habits to be avoided from the aspects of configuration management. For the beginning, the basic concepts are introduced and discussed and in the consequent part 2 and 3 we will cover in-depth practical details how to manage infrastructures based on open-source on-premise cloud like OpenStack and AWS/Azure deployments. The lecture is part of the Infrastructure Services and Operations course at the Oslo Metropolitan University in Norway.
