Data Protection in OpenStack: More than just the Data

Why can’t I just continue to backup my VMs with the same data protection approaches that I used in dedicated environments? How do I manage multi-tenancy? At what point does scaling start to create new problems? How can I avoid building a backup system that is just one more thing that consumes my time?
