Sonicmodell Binary – Maiden 4G/LTE
The condensation clears off the lens @ 2:00. Finally made some time to maiden my newest bird. The Sonicmodell Binary has tons of thrust and plenty of power to lift a large battery. I had averted a disaster when taking off when the plane hooked hard left. I made the snap decision to punch it full throttle to avoid the quickly approaching curb.
It nosed up just enough to not destroy the plane but I lost front landing gear and one rear wheel. Had to make an emergency belly landing at the end lol. For this flight I kept it light with a Multistar 5200mAh 4S. I plan to build a larger 18650 pack for this plane. There is tons of room inside for it! I ended up forgetting to bring my laptop because I was half awake so no FPV/HUD feed for this flight. I kept it LOS and connected to my phone over 4G/LTE for the maiden. I tuned the parameters and got it purring along. Cruise is around 5A and full throttle 40A. I love the sound of twin motors!
