  • You don’t need it if you are going cybersecurity or cloud career. Just get your networking knowledge on YouTube for free. Save your $$$ and time on cybersecurity and cloud certs. Cheers! 3:14

  • Working towards ccna, got job off net+ and am aiming for a higher position there with this ccna

  • The network+ in no way goes deeper in network fundemantals lol. I hate watching non network people talk about network things.

  • New viewer here! I stumbled on your old videos and WOW!! You look great. I wasn't sure this was the same person. I hope your weight loss was a healthy choice and not from a disease process (if so I am very sorry). Thanks for being here to teach us technology things!!

  • There are only 2 jobs posted where I live. So taking an exam for CCNA is a waste of time for me.

  • Here in Spain nobody will ever grant you a job interview if you haven't got a real college degree in Computer Science nowadays , even if you own all available certifications in the world:
I got my CCNA in 2005, got a CyberOps in 2020, got a Linux LPIC in 2018… but even though I was hired from 1996 to 2007, I had quitted college in 1995 and never got a degree.
l've been unemployed 16 years by now. Enterprises here do NOT care about equivalent experience, they only look for cheap workers with an university degree signed by the king.
IT median salary in Spain is €29k/year and only engineers reach those figures. IT Helpdesk Support is a minimum-wage job (€15,100) even if the needed skill is higher than a burger flipper.

  • I'm a DevOps Eng and totally agree. We all should have CCNA. Everything is connected thru network, no matter what you do, you'll use network. Example: How can you get into Cybersecurity without understanding OSI model or what's a gateway or DNS? common!

  • So yes CCNA is good in a sense it might land you a job but the exam itself is a load of bollocks! The wording of the question are absolutely ridiculous, the study material yes is 100% worthwhile, but why Cisco and how they get away with using completely different language to what they use in Netacad material and official cert guides is criminal.

  • dang, this dude lost a ton of weight! good for him!

  • What about the new CCST, how market will react to it ?

  • I just bought 3x Cisco 2600, 2x Catalyst 2950. Will this be sufficient for a home lab for my ccna?

  • I got my CCNA, JNCIA, NET+, studying for my CCNP. I can't land a job anywhere in networking. its a useless cert

  • I just read the top comment and am completely the opposite. I have worked in tech ever since I could. I started at Best Buy and worked my way up in little bits. I was 19 when I got to geeksquad at Best Buy and then 20 when I was able to work at an amazon datacenter. Then 22 when I got to work at a computer manufacturing place for government bodies. And then I thought instead of just computer hardware fixing I want to get more specialized so I studied and got my CCNA within a month. Studied like 5 hours a day every single day. I then immediately applied to every single NOC MSP network admin, network engineer, help desk, etc. position I could find and nothing. It’s now been 3 months of applying to over 120 places and still nothing. It’s like the CCNA did absolutely nothing

  • Mid-Level NetAdm, i know networks backwards and forwards, having a tough time justifying getting the CCNA as the next level roles don't really require it

  • Any cert are good. The more u have the better off you are

  • Wait ! What in the world, did you loose weight??? Congrats, I did not recognize you.

  • I'm a college student that would like to pursue a career in this field and the title got me nervous since I initially thought this isn't good anymore. I appreciate you clarifying this for me and giving your thoughts on this 🙌

  • I came to this video because I'm taking the Cisco Junior Cybersecurity Analyst Career Path and I cannot find reviews on that course. At the end of that course, Cisco offers you to take the CCST Certification and it would be really cool if you talked about both the Career Path and the CCST certification. Cheers!

  • This has made me decide to go after the CCNA. If I'm going to even get the Network+ anyway, why not get the better version of it?

  • if you can’t do exponential math, convert between 3 different numbering systems, or subnet in 30 seconds or less in your head, your fucked.
Great way to prove knowledge cisco, I’m sure network engineers/admins develop entire addressing schemes for multiple subnets in their heads without calculators or scratch paper gtfo here.
