Still watching on 2021! High five, eh?… No?
I'll sort myself out.

the best ubuntu version i've use, and so light even in 700mb RAM
Best ubuntu ever..
ubuntu tweak tool was lovely
Best ubuntu ever ,,, I just miss the unity desktop in 2018 ,,, There is nothing even close to the awesomeness of unity desktop
Maybe the most significant Ubuntu release ever!
is the battery life on this is better than in windows ? (laptop)
So, like, just under 2 years ago I'd have been putting this together. How time bleeding flies!
Can i run LOL on this ? 😀
Trying minecraft on this later ^-^
Yes. if it didnt then whats the whole point to get a free operating system?
I had it but I changed it for Windows 7.
Got 3 pentium computers from my moms work. They didnt need anyone, but they didnt have hard drives, so i might look for one at my work. After that i will try to install ubuntu or ubuntu server on one of them. (ubuntu looks amazing so far!)
sadly u need to connect to eathernet to get ur wireless driver or you need to get it on a usb flash drive and transfer it over to ubuntu. This is the biggest pain in the but about switching to ubuntu. Getting wireless to work. lol
windows 8 blocks wubi installer for windows… well crap Microsoft is up to it again -_-
if ubuntu had the adobe suite then windows would be screwed it's really the only reason to not switch to ubuntu that and gaming. Windows generally is more stable though. I'll take a virus any day than troubleshooting ubuntu when an app acts up. i always hated troubleshooting in ubuntu but when it works its great.
CAn you send me instructions on how to download a wireless adapter for Ubuntu 12.04 without the cd player because computer does not have one? thanks for the video
and what games?
Pretty cool, but can it run videogames, like Mass Effect, Metro or League of Legends? please answer!
except that nothing works without hours of coding and bullshit. I downloaded ubuntu earlier and I have had nothing but problems. it doesn't come with java, and you can't install anything because "ubuntu software service" or some bullshit "failed" it also made my gpu lock up and got stuck in a loop of trying to fix it
I like bacon. -_-
thanks bro. nice tutorial for beginners
I didn't say there isn't a lot of room for ubuntu to improve, It's a good os but it's nothing to go crazy about. Also I'm not the one who has a shiny apple logo as his profile picture… Also according to your last sentence you are trolling. definitely trolling…
Not sure if you are trolling or stupid. Or it seems like you have never ever tried ubuntu 12.04.
Mentally challenging OS…but once you conquer the learning curve of going to Ubuntu from Windows, you will appreciate the stability, lack of viruses, no defraging needed, improved audio and smoother usability of Ubuntu!
Woops I meant Unix.
Mac OS X isn't Linux. The only thing that they have in common is that they are both derived from the old UNIX system but Mac OS X is definitely no Linux.
i still love windows 8 because thanks to him i don't have that used Ubuntu shitty
best to download it first as when you upgrade it you may lose drivers
Did you forget FreeBSD?
You can install the proprietary driver but it's not necessary, by default open source driver is installed.
hi, i have a disc of Ubuntu 11.10 which i am going to install on one of my drives,
so can i just upgrade to 12.04 or i have to download the 12.04 version ?
just installed ubuntu 12.04. do i still need to install graphics driver?
Using the Mac OS theme for Ubuntu doesn't compare to Mac OS. All you get is the dock… from what I can tell from videos of Ubuntu( haven't used linux in awhile). The theme doesn't give you multiply desktops, launchpad, dashboard, mission control… plus the trackpad gestures are amazing. I am a Windows and Mac owner, pound for pound I think Mac OS wins. I am not a "fanboy" and buy what ever I like best… I give honest opinions unlike some. Get real people none of these companies are paying us!
Ubuntu seems like a watered down Mac OS
