• without the open trat end flat bed a truck has that we all love and know as the format that is a working truck you see builders, mechanics use etc, it looks more like a SUV style car rather than a shop truck

• I have to agree with Jay on the excitement of new American automotive manufacturing.
  From what I’ve read the United States has only 1 active Lithium mine. Isn’t lithium the nature resource that makes the batteries for electric vehicles?
  You know all the political BS that surrounds oil ( which the US has more of than lithium ). So as the US government continues to shove EV’s down are throat who are we going to be dependent on for the fuel source?
  Where are the infrastructure projects for EV charging stations?
  Please, if someone can enlighten me on this I will gladly listen

  I fit into the older generation as you pointed out out at the beginning. I'm not a fan of this. I don't want a "truck" that is "super quiet" or had ugly hub-cab things on the obviously going to be HUGELY EXPENSIVE" to replace. Bringing me to the battery. I don't know if you ever read the Google Headlines in the morning while doing the human business we all do, but seems a fellow bought one of those half and half, Can't remember the actual name of those vehicles that are half gas powered and half electric, my Late Father had one a Lexus, this headline was abut the Hundie. The young fellow was driving and had to avoid something on the road, he thought he did but took the car in to be checked in case. It seems he didn't totally avoid the item, it damaged the casing surrounding the battery, so he gets a charge of $60,000.00 for a new battery and casing from the Dealership where he bought the thing. So he puts in an insurance claim because $60,000.00 for a new battery on a car that's like a month old is completely STUPID. They immediately Write that vehicle off, as insurance is NOT going to be hooked into buying new batteries for new things every time a bit of road waste hit the case, BTW Turns out there were absolutely ZERO TESTS done to see if the battery had sustained any damage at all. So could be the battery is fine, could be it isn't, to be safe Hundyi says the battery needs replacing and the battery replacement costs more than a new vehicle does.So the insurance writes off the kids car, and now he can't but another Hundiay or however one spells those creepy things as he was so happy with them till this, (Kids are strange now, sorry kids, but you really are. Kid across the street from me has a BMW, I tell him cool first car, sounds good, you should be learning mechanics if you want to drive those, why he says, Weird reaction Number 1, Number 2 is he didn't know what a Plymouth Barracuda or Dodge Challenger are, yet wants noisy sports cars, Number 3 is didn't realize the tires wear out and changing the oil more often than recommended or ever is a good thing, That is what gives an elder the right to point out you are somewhat strange. Back to Hundai Kid, the insurance, because they wrote off his car, takes away his safe drivers discount, which is 40% in BC after 5 years safe, no accident, no ticket driving. So now the poor Hundie Kid is out a new vehicle because the dealership has been told by the parent company to just get a new battery if the case is damaged, don't even check the batter, besides there not being any way to check it if they wanted to in the first place. The Safe driving takes 10 years of clean driving and going from 40% discount to maximum payment for ten years, being out a new car, and Hundai working on some kind of solution for the kid, is so BAD, He needs takke Hundai, The Dealership, and the insurance company to court. More Money, so he, being a kid, not rich, all these people will get away with this. What they can't get away with, is this, IT SURE MAKES HYBRID CARS LOOK VERY UNATTRACTIVE TO SAY IT KINDLY. Besides not saving on the carbon footprint really at all, ever watch how they get the plutonium out of the ground or the whatchaccallit Lithium out of the ground??? Child Labour, and DO NOT Believe for a second i isn't. I saw with my own eyes these Non Child Labour Open Pit mines in Africa, The Congo, and The Kids and Poor were all over digging and the rest of it. Horror!!! I went on and on again, but for a good reason this time. What's it going to cost when someone just misses something on the road, but actually grazes it and damages that cover for the battery? having it sounds like a much more complex cover system that pumps air into itself, so can't survive any damage, what is a replacement for those going to be??? A Million???? Probably not very far off Jay.It can still be found on Google my story, look it up if you think I am being untruthful or exagerating in any way. • The discussion regarding the voltage is a little incorrect. 48 volts is not the maximum bolt someone can take before damage is done to the human body, remember if you're ever doing anything at your house and you take a shock well that's 120 volts right there, it's the amps you have to be careful about and only takes .1 of an amp to kill you. Electricity is a strange beast sometimes you can get hit with 220 volts and 60 amps and you just feel a shock other people get hit with 120 volts from their household outlet and die. It all has to do with if the electricity crosses your heart and stops it.

• The world better have a good infrastructure by 2035 or there's gonna be a BIG problem. Living in Western Canada and being one of the biggest electrical producers in America (California being one of our biggest customers that have problems paying their bill) we are now relying on other provinces to buy electricity to top us up. And we don't even have 1% electric cars on the road here. I feel this isn't going to end well in the near future. I hope batteries advance faster than they have been to make up for the electrical demand shortfall. Not to mention when most cars are electric the governments can say you pay more. And there's nothing you can do about it!

• If you want cameras instead of mirrors to be approved then let another car manufacturer do it first because the gov is biased against Elon
