  • Those are fun to collect, have you collected any of the Guerilla banknotes created during the Philippine occupation or Japanese invasion banknotes?

  • They also used the reverse design in the 1958 series. The differences between those coins and the 1958 series are the coat of arms and the wording on the reverse. The obverse in the 1958 series is the Philippine coat of arms and the wording “Central bank of the Philippines ”, and on the reverse, instead of Filipinas, in the 1958 series has a bottom text of minting year.

  • Thanks. I really like these coins. I have a 1921 50 Centavos in lovey condition and the later date one well circulated. Also a few of the smaller denominations along with one coin that has the portrait of General McArthur. I have a page in my album with coins minted in the US for other countries and have included these.
