Connecting the build to your base might have just given them a path to get you
If you build at least 11 blocks high they won’t go into DAM and destroy your pillars

27:49 make sure you put the forcefield blocks there too otherwise your base is now a viable path being connected with solid blocks like that
Might not want to attach the top of the horde base to the building. It could possibly create a path for the zombies.
That base actually looks pretty solid. I just hope you upgrade the walls of your house that are in line of the cops vomit… Or you're gonna be roasting more than some shrimps on that barby!!

@jawoodle I've made that POI a base before. It's great if you do it right.
One thing to be aware of…
The zombies who were coming up the stairs at the end, they can cut through the second floor, out the window, and up the fire-escape ladder on the other side to get up to the third floor.
If you want to control their pathing, you should leave the stairs inside intact and block off the fire-escape from the second floor.
You better get out to a field and slap up a quick cage for your friends to shoot down on a hallway that you're whacking zombies in!

You'd have spent a lot less time and and a significant amount fewer resources just upgrading the interior space of that stairwell to be cobble/concrete. Then you'd have a similar base to the mansion. And it wouldn't have taken you all day
