Nice review of both! Thanks!
Mint and Fedora for me:)
Windows FX 21.1 vs Linux FX 7.10.8
– both have broken away from the old x64 platform for the more modern x128 machines of the 2018's to present computers – for their users.
As an ex Windows user, and someone not particularly technically competent, I really do love my Mint Cinnamon. And Mint's functionality and app mix also suits me down to the ground. I also think Feren's KDE has the potential to be one of the next biggest things. It offers the options and flexibility of Plasma with the practicality of Cinnamon because it uses the Nemo file management system, which to me is a big bonus lol. Plasma, and Deepin DE as well, gives a more beautiful desktop, IMO anyway, with their blur and other options. I think Mint could be very easily 'tricked up' for more modern users by a couple of simple things. If the menu was resizable, had a blur option, and even a colour option this would really trick Mint up. The same with the panel, just adding a blur and colour option would just make it look a bit more modern and flashy. So sue me, I'm shallow 🙂 I do like pretty as well lol. Still, both Mint and Feren are great distros even as they stand now 🙂
