None of this helped…. After clean install I have been told by other IT techs that if sfc command still shows it can`t repair system files it is down to a hardware issue??? IS this true? Any reply would be very nice thanks Britec…. This is about the 100th VIDEO and people all show the same steps and thought a clean install would eliminate the troubleshooting steps but I HAVE NO HOPE ANYMORE!!! I AM STARTING TO THINK THIS IS A FAULT WITH CRAPPY WINDOWS 10 UPDATE or something!! I have done probably about 3 or 4 clean installs to keep files and apps as well. I only wish Linus was the same with gaming! I am developing a strong hate with windows!

I had a problem with win10, it wouldn't update and had corrupt files…all I did was create a bootable usb with the latest .iso and within win10 clicked setup.exe then keep personal files and apps and it just reinstalled win10 – after that everything including my programs and data was running perfectly….it took 30mins.

This is based on if Windows 10 boots, but what if it doesn't boot because the OS has a corrupted file?
