MAC Address and IP Address are used to uniquely identify a device on the internet. Like a house address, the MAC address is a unique, physical address. It is also fixed and cannot change. An IP or Internet Protocol address is a numerical value given to your device to identify you on the internet. It is unique to the device and usually does not change.
