Manual Frequency Band Selection with 4G LTE on DOVADO USB Routers

Introduced in firmware version 6.1, the DOVADO TINY/4GR/DOMA routers now support the manual selection of 4G/LTE frequency bands, allowing you to lock onto a specific frequency as opposed to using the “auto-select” mode, which at times creates more trouble than good when sitting in a poor coverage zone. Locking onto a specific frequency also assists you if using an external antenna for your USB modem. Currently (2012-07-26), only the Huawei E392 and the Huawei E398 (2nd generation, with 2 antenna connectors) offer frequency selection. More brands may come in later.

I'm unable to select the 4G band on the Huawei EE573. It is now supported, and giving me all kinds of grief

Or you can just use this free app for Windows called "mdma: a mobile data monitoring application" to change bands
Tried it on Huawei B398 and it works like a charm!

That feature doesn't work with my Huawei E3276 and Dovado Tiny. Auto mode works, but when I choose LTE Only, modem can't connect.

In that case, the 1800 doesn't exist in that modem firmware.
