In this video, Jeremy Cioara covers how to configure NAT Overload (PAT) on a Cisco router. Although there are three primary types of NAT (Static NAT, Dynamic NAT, and NAT Overload, also known as PAT), this MicroNugget focuses specifically on a step-by-step instruction and demonstration of how to configure PAT.

There are three primary flavors of NAT available on a Cisco router: Static NAT, Dynamic NAT, and Nat Overload (PAT). Jeremy focuses on the latter and begins at the very base level, starting with the IP home address, then moves into identifying interfaces and creating IP access lists. The next step is to build inside source lists so you can easily pull in the access lists that have been previously established. Using a live screen display, Jeremy will walk you through each step, demonstrating what it should look like and how the information should populate if you’re following the process correctly.
