OpenStack Overview and Scripted Install with PackStack

This video walks through a scripted installation I created for use in my lab to quickly stand up OpenStack environments of different versions using PackStack. I refer to “Migration Factory” which was a project we started internal to migrate VMs from other private clouds or virtualization environments onto OpenStack using ManageIQ/CloudForms. The intention of this video was to assist those unfamiliar with OpenStack to quickly and easily stand up environments of different versions to use in integration testing and development. I thought it might be useful to others so decided to share.

This demonstration also includes a walk through of the operator workflow to take a newly installed OpenStack environment to having tenants/images/networks/etc and be usable by end users.

NOTE: The demonstrated script is for development and testing using multiple servers each with different versions of OpenStack. This is why I am using an all-in-one setup, though that can trivially be changed to include multiple compute hosts. The point is, this is NOT intended for production environmebnts.
