linux is kinda annoying when it comes to displaying dark themes in apps, like i have kde and not all apps integrate well, is that because of things like electron, appimages, snaps etc?

I wish Firefox would add tab grouping similar to chrome's.

The Firefox floating tabs look fine on Gnome. They look terrible on Cinnamon and XFCE. and even worse on Windows. I hate them personally. The rest of the UI changes are fine. But those tabs drive me nuts.

The new Firefox design is fine. A bigger problem is that Firefox 89 now enables DNS over HTTPS by default without asking. That's not cool.

I don't hate floating tabs completely, but I feel like they dissociate the tab from its page

Chrome is call that, because of they want to remove as much of the Chrome as they can and make more place for the website, this is a thing the new Design of Firefox can learn from, the topbar is BIG, you can go into the about:config to turn on the old compact mode, but it is going to be remove … and by doing so a lot of Users inc. me will find a new broswer, … if i wanted Gnome Shell, i install Gnome, don't force this on the users …..

they kill off the compact design, so the future for Firefox is a Gnome like topbar with 200/300px of unused place .. i like nyxt more and more, because of this c**p

tbh nixos is a very interesting distro, I have been using nixos for a few weeks, sometimes the slightly different implantation of the package manager and the way config files are handled can be a bit confusing , but I have been liking it 😉

Good point about Google's annoying naming scheme.

Big fan of the Firefox redesign – and total cookie protection. I was using Edge for awhile because of their native vertical tabs (and recent feature to hide the title bar as well) – but I always come back to Firefox.
