  • For an old machine that was running Windows 7, I tested several of the most recommended distributions for desktop (Mint with xfce, MX, Manjaro, etc). MX with a highly customized Xfce (for me) to make me feel comfortable is the one that gave me the best results in speed and lightness… In addition, the UI has turned out very beautiful.
    In reality I know that it is a Debian with additions and optimizations, but the result convinces me. Very happy.

  • Mint's LMDE 6 based on Debian is a compelling choice. Easy to use with an automatic upgrade path and Mint's fantastic Cinnamon desktop. Good video on MX Linux which I like very much.
