Setting Up Samba 4 Active Directory Domain Controller on Ubuntu in VirtualBox



NOTE: The intended audience will have basic experience with Linux, Windows, Virtual Machines, and networking. This video is NOT intended for “experts” wanting a quick 5 minutes list of commands. I prefer my videos to be more of an experience than yet another “quick how-to”.

In this long journey of a video, I install Ubuntu Linux from ISO in VirtualBox, then proceed to install and configure Samba 4 as an Active Directory Domain Controller. This is for a new forest and creating a domain, not joining an existing. I’ll do another video for joining more controllers.
