Subnetting a Class C IP Address: 192.168.100.154/27

This video shows how to find the subnet address, broadcast address, first address, and last address of the subnet that 192.168.100.154/27 is on.

Although this is a long way to do it, if you can master each of these steps, there is not an IP addressing problem that you will not be able to solve.

  • This is AMAZING! So glad a fellow student directed me to this. I am pretty excited because I have been in classes where our IT department even brought in professional exam teachers (you know, the guys that are supposed to help you pass exams); and I've gone through a couple different college classes, and TestOut instructions and have NEVER, until now, been able to get this down! I wonder if the professionals even remember how to figure it out, lol! I bet if I asked a couple of our network engineers how to do this, they wouldn't know or remember, if they ever knew 😉 THANKS!

  • You sir are amazing. Ive been having issue with solving problem like this. Now i finally get it. i will always use ya method for reference.

  • Thank you teacher … you explain subnetting classless clearly now i can pass the exam

  • 255-224 = 31, 31-1, sine the first subnet is for broadcasting, so you get 30. 30 hosts available.
