The Importance of People and Trust in Scaling Connected Systems | The Frontier Conference 2021

April 13, 2021 | The Importance of People and Trust in Scaling Connected Systems

Ecosystems will get increasingly larger and more interconnected as the value to do so exceeds the complexity and risk to security and privacy. We are now entering the era of the ecosystem and service economy, with offerings increasingly driven by a network effect spanning multiple entities and backed by a significant service component.

The ultimate potential of digital is driving new experiences and business value through interconnected ecosystems; however, in order to build complex relationships that span private and public boundaries we need both open interoperability and tools to ensure that no single entity owns the trust. For this, we need to focus on the human elements that balance privacy with value received, collaborate openly, and leverage technology to automate data confidence because it simply isn’t feasible to build the necessary trust relationships one by one.

This session is a dynamic conversation about the opportunities, challenges and enablers for powering the service economy and interconnected ecosystems with digital trust, with a particular focus on the human element.
