    Hi
    David Bombal!
I have installed dual boot ubuntu 20.04 and windows 10 on my pc intel 10th but there's no wired connection available in Ubuntu 20.04. (I'm sure that i plug the ethernet cable because It still works when i run windows)
I download the "2.5G Ethernet LINUX driver r8125 for kernel up to 5.6" and follow the install instruction in this link: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1258241/no-ethernet-connection-available-in-ubuntu-20-04.

However, when i ran sudo ./autorun.sh. Terminal shows that:

"Check old driver and unload it

    Build the module and install

    ./autorun.sh: 30: make: not found"

Could you please help me out with this problem

    Thank you!

    I got the following error:

    —————————————————————————————————————————————————–
Error while powering on: VMware Player does not support nested virtualization on this host.

    Module 'MonitorMode' power on failed.

Failed to start the virtual machine.

    —————————————————————————————————————————————————–
    How can I fix this?

Dang, since what version did Windows start telling you the exe you're trying to install isn't verified by Microsoft? My version must not be high enough. That's incredibly scummy to be honest.

Just finished with my installation, it was a success after 2 tries, unfortunately, the laptop started working slowly, got froze for like 20 min, after that it took 15 min to close the VMware. Thank you so much, Sir David, I tried. I Will look if I can upgrade my laptop.

I have a question, sir. Which certificate do you recommend for Linux? Yesterday, I started your course, Linux for network engineer. But I want to get a Linux certificate, Sir. Any advice will be helpful.
LPIC-1 or Comptia Linux+ or RHCSA?

I am trying to contact you. Tried other means. failed. wont bore u with that. = Cisco CML- watched your vids. bought it yesterday. im an old timer gns3 guy and tired of some mechanics and bugs. re-certifying ccnp encor – tried server, ubuntu, workstation, alpine. how do i get an ip address on a node that is not cisco equipment. the 4 mentioned r linux and i denied access to do so. GOAL=2 switches with 2 end devices each. one in vlan 10 other vlan 20. wanting to ping thru to test config…….4 hours trying, going to web for commands, yada yada. GNS3 has tons of support/how to vids. Cisco has no resource to explain how to use the lab (video would be keen) if one fishes around with it one can stumble around and learn. Time is my money. I feel i have been suckered

Thank you David! This video was a good reminder for me about enabling 'nested virtualization'….I had forgotten about that option. Oh by the way good clean-n-sharp hair cut— it reminds me of the days when I was admonished to get my hair cut, to adhere, to the strict specs while attending the Air-Force ROTC program.

If could explain manual partitions and recommended sizes of each partition, that would be great! Maybe in VBox video. However, we can also download .Ova from Ubuntu website, just import it and boot it up straight away easily.

Ubuntu 20.04 should not have been released when it was. It is not stable. I might have to roll back to 18.04
