Why Doesn't My Headset Mic Work & How to Fix it (3.5mm audio cable)



So the microphone on your 3.5mm wired headset isn’t working when you plug it into your computers headphone jack? The sound comes through the headphones just fine but your mic isn’t being recognized? Thankfully there’s a very simple solution to this problem. What many people do not know is there are several different types of 3.5mm audio connectors. In this video I show you how to recognize the difference between a 4 pin TRRS connector and a 3 pin TRS connector, explain what the difference between the two of them is and of course show you what you need in order to get your headset mic working on your PC. Alrighty then, let’s dive on in!
