(Windows 7) DO NOT INSTALL – Recent Update KB971033

This updates the activation and validation components in Windows Activation Technologies for Windows 7.

When installed, if your computer is not genuine, as so many are, using the activator, that was released with the leak of Windows 7 RTM using the Lenovo product key, upon restart, your computer will come up with a ‘Windows is not Genuine’ message, and you will lose your wallpaper ability, Windows games, and you will gain a nagging message.

So, I say again, do not install the update KB971033, or you will either have to reinstall Windows, or buy an actual copy of Windows 7.
