  • The first six seconds, but unironically 👁👃👁 Wine is getting better? Sure about that?

  • Its bad enough that they are using another companies property, Logo's, buttons etc, but on top of that they are charging for a License. Sounds really shady. Don't buy the License folks.

  • Hey, can you do a full tutorial on how to install Yubikeys into Qubes?

  • Nope. If I wanted something that was like windows, I would have stuck with windows. Not move to linux.

  • Why using a windows imitation? Linux Mint or Zorin OS is a better choice.

  • They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

  • They're really going all out in the MS direction wanting you to buy the licence keys 😂🤣
I can see the appeal of a distro like this for people wanting to switch, but realistically one of the reasons for using Linux is it's not Windows. Besides, most users can make any distro look like windows by downloading the extra themes and icons from the repo's. I know I did at first just to get explorer working and looking similarly so I was comfortable. Once you get to playing around with customising Linux and whats possible, it leaves Windows in the dust. But I still use both for certain tasks.

Being a disro based in Brazillian, I don't know if MS can enforce a lawsuit over there. But it's clearly infringing on their copyrights and trademarks. Especially since they're charging money for it, I can't see how MS wouldn't go after them?

  • Why in the H-E- double hockey sticks would anyone run this OS??

  • Not sure how I feel about this Tom. I can see some benefits to it for the person wanting Linux but struggles to change muscle memory. Realistically, you can get a Windows key for less than this distro which I also struggle with charging for Linux in the first place. Also, I still would have to believe they are opening themselves to liability with Microsoft. Who knows, if they do get sued by them, would anyone using it also be dragged into it? They were slapped once before, we shall see if it happens again.

  • That Windows integration is the best I've seen in the last four years. I've been able to run StarCraft (my acid test) and it has been been running well for a week, a new record for me.

  • Look ! It's even got the windoze11 screwed up blue toilet paper background image!
    Meh

  • The system contains a lot of Microsoft software, and I think that's why they aren't being sued. But there are things to consider: it's not open source, no support, what about data security? From my experience with LinuxFx, I know that updates can be as lengthy as the original. And the activation prompts get annoying. Please do a few tests regarding Wine. Does this work better on Wubuntu?

  • Oh this would be so good for messing with the "Microsoft Support" scammers…

  • I have to admit the GUI is an impressive clone, but I immensely dislike Windows aesthetics

  • The only issues I ever had with linux are battery life and wayland. I am using endeavour OS kde. Auto cpufreq has issues and my Intel gou doesnot accelerate videos 'vp9' on linux.
