Why did I miss this I am subscribed with notifications enabled 😭
Talking about software is difficult, there is little audience and interest.
I've ported a particular piece of software from kde/qt 3 to 4 and then to 5, and when I get good ideas, I rearrange it and rewrite parts of it.
It was a long bloodbath (the two ports almost killed me 🤣) and a lot of fun.
But from the outside you can only see a modern and more attractive aesthetic, some transparencies, and it is friendlier.
Perhaps the only interesting thing is that I created a flatpak package (installing from code is inconvenient and not the intention of many).
Little or nothing that attracts the masses.
57:57 Jelly Hoshiumi would be an interesting collab or potential interview partner. I’m sure there’s an okay viewer overlap, even if the content focus is elsewhere. (While Jelly does straight up coding streams, more of her content is coding-related games and logic/puzzle games. Or more general gaming/vtubing content.)
