• The dish you are using is directional. That means you have to tune the antenna and point it directly at the cell tower. You cannot be off by half a degree. Also the angle which those lnbs are pointing will require you to invert the antenna assembly using the SKU of the backing structure. You will not get the proper clearance with the dish in its normal configuration. So in other words you're overshooting the tower.

• I slapped one of those cell extenders to my old direct TV dish and it worked considerably better than by itself

• what you should try is to change the mhz band you are using. im not sure what band an mhz but say you are using the lte 1800mhz you will get around 120mbit on an good day.changing to 2600mhz or more high can give you speed up to 400.500mbit. its more easy to change the bands then start all the dyi project.
  and if some one is using the huawei cpe pro 5g router you can force change the band using huactrl app found on google store free and the pro for few $.
  and also if you live so close to the antenna you can have the problem that the signal is going over your home so try to point more up and not towards the anteena tower

• The only thing slowing down his speed is the CAT rating of his 4g router. If he invested in a decent one at that range to the tower he'd get over 100Mbps. Probably would using any mobile phone and tethering.

• use it as a parabolic antenna dish… needs to be a certain distance from the device to 'reflect' and concentrate the signal to the antenna inside the device… i mean, you got a huge dish sitting right there, if you actually pointed the dish at the tower (instead of the floor), and mounted the device at the end (remove those receivers and put that thing there), you would probaby get the best you can get.

  also… speeds are not going to be a big deal or change.. but that latency.. definitely should be checked… high is bad, low is good.

• Put the antenna in front of the dish instead of using the pieplate and run the line to your amplifier at least 20ft horizonal or 50ft verticle….? Thats the factory distance directions without the dish part for the one I just bought and havent installed yet. By now you've probably tried this I guess.

• I bought that exact "4G antenna" from Amazon and I'm returning it. It did nothing for me – although I guess a pie plate helps! Turns out it's not a true MIMO antenna, although it's clear that it is made to deceive you into thinking it is.
  
  A true MIMO antenna should have two antennas isolated from each other. But using my multimeter, I measured continuity between both connectors. So both connectors go into one antenna – kind of pointless. Also, in a MIMO antenna, both antennas should be at 90 degrees to each other. I held this up to a bright light and only saw the shape of an antenna straight up the middle, not the large + shape I would expect in a MIMO antenna.

• If my cell tower was as close as that in the UK I'd be getting wall to wall signal and it would blow my ears off!

  As it is, I don't even know WHERE the nearest one might be. Occasionally I must get enough of a signal to get SMS messages through, but to stand ANY chance of a good enough signal for a phone call I need to go upstairs into the bathroom (back of house) or front bedroom. Hence looking for an antenna to antenna repeater.
