#18 – tar Compression in Linux CentOS 8

Learn how to compress the files and directories with tar command in Linux CentOS. We can combine the tar command along with gzip and bzip2 command in Linux. When we combine tar with gzip or bzip2, it will create the compressed archive. The compressed archive means it is also a backup file and it is also compressed. Unlike in archive, we cannot add more files and directories in compressed archive.
