I agree with everything you said but I am not one for lowering trucks. I would like to see the wood bed redone just so it is usable not mint condition. Thank you for all you do you content is great.
FYW – Power steering box from a square body will fit. Took one from a '75 & put it in my '69, used the long water pump & all brackets without issues.
Short bed low hillbilly ride would be awesome.
I don’t have land to let my dog run. But late at night, I let him run. Occasionally he causes other dogs to bark, but screw it, he loves the freedom

It’s an old truck. A few dents are expected. I’d be tempted to buy wood and refinish the bed myself. No kit needed.

Big like to the 68 RR. Drove one for 9 years in the 70s.
It’s not about the ride it’s the fact that you typically wind up cutting stuff off or notching the frame. It can damage the actual truck chasis. But then again you are the guy that wants “stealeys” on freaking everything. Hey I’ve got an idea let’s put the absolute heaviest wheel they make on everything.
Don’t low it any further we need to save the old trucks not further destroy them.

Mortske your not boring, its not you its me , just kidding…this is the way people restored car back in the day when oem parts were everywhere, nowadays if it no LS swapped with 10 headers and some god awful aftermarket rims nobody likes it
