• It's been almost a year now since this video as I'm typing this but the hiren's boot page is different from this video now. Am I suppose to download that "rufus"? I'm not sure which way to go and I don't want to download the wrong thing. The link on the google page still reads the same but the page to that link is completely different now.

• I also always recommend to have 2 disks (or 2 or more partitions) and separate data and operating system.

• 33 years in computer industry. The Hiren Tools mem stick looks really very interesting but I would rather have an Ubuntu stick than the windows media stick any day. I have never ever had any successful repair from the Windows tools… EVER. Except the re-install windows… when you lose your entire disc except for OS. With a bootable UBUNTU stick you have total access to all your files to copy / move / backup BEFORE you reinstall windows

• I just wipe my whole drive clean and reinstall a fresh windows, because i have backups like any sane person should have.

• It looks like the Hirens download page had changed a bit but the worst thing is that page has a big ole ad to download something deceptively similar if you're not using an adblocker.

• I recently signed up for the windows insider and this just happened to me. Thankfully I didn't have much on the computer, but it was unbootable, until I finally got it to do so by restoring it to factory. I'm going to take your advice on this, thank you.

• Thanks for all the handy info. I already had the Hiren's on the Ventoy drive from a previous video of yours, but I didn't have the Windows media creation tool . I did it for windows 11 though for my new laptop. I suppose I probably should do one for windows 10 as well for my older laptop. Anyway, thanks also for answering my questions on previous videos. It's nice to have a little help. I have basic computer knowledge, but there's so much to learn and know and things change so fast.

• Well my windows decided to take a dump today on my pc and would no longer boot to windows. Ive been having a wierd pc problem lately and about 2 days before I could no longer boot to windows, I decided to download the media creation tool just in case i might ever need it, ya know way in the future. LOL… so because of that usb, I am here in the comments now. Thank you sir! Havent used the Hirens repair tool yet. Not sure if theres anything to repair or not. . Wel see if that stays that way. update already, so windows crashed. So now im on my other drive with windows. My pc isnt even showing the original drive I was using right now when on this drive. After a while I re booted again to my buggy M.2 drive that I originally had all the issues with, its working ok atm, no bad block error, windows not crashing. I still have some testing to do and such.

• Half way through I discover the video is outdated & I have to start all over again with an updated version. Please add a note to help people out at the beginning. I'm in a fight for my life with time for starting a business, in severe struggle/ trouble, recently spending days on computer issues. The last thing I needed was wasted time. Thanks for the OTHER updated videos though

• Hirens and gandalf redstone is great for when a loved one passes away and you want to recover family pictures or get a will off of the computer of a deceased loved one.

• Hey on the Hirens page. It looks different now for the iso2usb link. Its not there. I cant find that link on the page anywhere. Im not sure if I should download it from some other page thats totally different. Thats just for the iso2usb, the second link I got from the website like you showed. • 7:14 Im with ya till this point, im sure this is great advice you gave but after this time marker everythings like over my head so making these usb drives im not sure will help me at all. All that repair stuff and editing tools and other tools, yea, I dont get any of that stuff. I just know how to build a pc and if a part fails buy a new one. Kind of like my c drive right now. I moved most my files over to my other drive which is good, but I havent exactly moved windows over to that drive. UMmm.. i did also put all the files i want to not lose pretty much on usb drives. I dont do cloud backups, i already wasnt but then heard also that someone on the other end sees them so now i really am not sure about cloud. So yea., basically one day my pc said select boot drive after i turned it on. I turned it off, turned it back on and made it to windows. Did event viewer and it says I have a bad sector. My pc eventually auto repaired itself but failed because its still there. Today the errors have turned into info codes. So it says it auto updated some drivers and some other stuff. I think either windows had a bad update that started it all or the power outages recently hurt my pc, but the power outages were a few weeks before this problem was noticed. Sometimes my windows runs into a problem and restarts my pc, that was before it self sort of repaired itself. Still waiting to see if it still crashes like that or not, couple times a day it was.

• Microsofts forced updates on windows 10 tanked my laptop, it wasn't even 2 years old . I put Linux Mint on it and never looked back

• I have run Linux, Ubuntu, Firefox for so long I have forgotten what it is like too have to deal with Microsoft bullshit. I will never go back.

• There is no link for the hiren's usb iso on their website. Also, they tell you to install Rufus and other things. It's not even close to your simple description.
