  • I still have a 2016 HP notebook that i use that has a good processor and upgradable ram, hard drive, and wifi card its modular as fuck

  • Nothing is made "better" these days, planned obsolesce = license to print money.

  • Hmm to make money make them last 3 years then customers need to buy. No buy no money no billionaire. That is the art of the deal.

  • No im sick of no repairs and three times myquaterly bill being called "only 30 a month"my fone bill standing charge used to be 7 a monthkeep it up cycle sell it to use

  • I remember I used to have one of those and it survived years of damage and drops. When I ended up upgrading to an Inspiron, it became unusable in 3 years.

  • Old laptops: 15 yo? Yes, I run. Cold? Hot? I run. You dropped me? I hope the floor is ok.

Modern laptop: don't put me on a bed. I will spontaniously combust.

  • Brought here by a 2fps green screen video

  • Honestly I don’t have much of an issue with modern laptops especially since I tent to not use them as a battering ram and the one I got back in 2019 is still fine, though I will say you should definitely deck this thing out in some newer software and see how it goes

  • Corporations basically turned themselves into lords and we’re just renting their products. There’s no true ownership anymore.

  • At least Framework is tryung to push companies to make laptops super repairable again.

  • I have complicated feelings about old laptops. Because i watch your videos i replace the thermal pastes of my familys laptops. And our own samsung laptop is an old one. AND REPLACİNG THE THERMAL PASTE WAS A TORTURE. Keyboard wasn't coming off, thermal paste was located on the back of the motherboard and everything was just shit. I broke the left half of keyvoard because of it.

  • Everything from DELL in 2005 was SO NICE! Everything was Fisher Price inside. I miss being able to remove a hard drive with ONE FUCKING SCREW.

  • Give it to me, that's what you should do with it

  • I have a dell e5530 and m2800 both with quad core i7 and both being easy af to upgrade, being extremely stable even running win 11 cant give up on them.

  • Can I has it, I love old tech like this and I can't find anything similar where I live🥺

  • Install Linux on it, it saves all old computers like the 2nd gen i5 i'm typing this on
