2017 Dell Inspiron 3252 running Ubuntu Linux 22.10
Wow, this PC takes a long time to start up. I also forgot the password, so I’m going to need to do a reinstall at some point. I got this PC in early 2023 as I saw it on eBay and I used to have one, thus giving this PC nostalgic value. Unfortunately, I can’t recreate how I had things set up on it back in the day, as my original one had Windows 7 Professional and this PC released during the time that Microsoft forced hardware manufacturers to drop Windows 7 support. Oh well, maybe with some hacking I could get 7 installed? I do have a good chunk of my old data.
Well, anyways, I’ll likely use this PC in some Linux videos, I’ll likely reinstall Linux on this, probably either Ubuntu 23.10 or Kali Linux (as it’s good for cybersecurity and I’ve got a cybersecurity course coming up soon).

Kali linux is good in terms of cybersecurity if it's configured correctly. If you want to set up a much more secure system, I recommend linux without systemd initialization, ex. Devuan or Parabola. They should work on him perfectly.
Ubuntu takes a long time to start up on this computer, which is not surprising since you have a hard disk. And I'm surprised it's still in good condition…..
You can install windows 7 on this computer, even with a non-standard installation: via live-cd and the WinNTSetup program on it
