3 – IPv4 Default Mask values and Introduction to CIDR

Do I need this???

This module will discuss the default mask values of IPv4 and introduce the CIDR notation of IPv4 masks.

Example: Can you quickly determine the network portion and host portion of an IPv4 address based on the first octet of the address. Can you convert /16 into a subnet mask value and associate a class to it?

If so you’re probably not in need of this…Test yourself first with the following Challenge Me!!! http://youtu.be/tU5XwA3tYp0
