30 Promising Years of DKMS
What began 30 years ago as a promise made by one man to his ailing wife has since become an international organization dedicated to providing patients around the world with a second chance at life through stem cell transplantation. In the course of our history, DKMS has not only become a leader in its field, with over 92,000 transplants facilitated, but continues to push the boundaries of what is possible when it comes to providing better outcomes for all those fighting blood cancer or blood disorders. Despite this success, there are still patients facing the harrowing reality of not finding the matching donor they need to survive, so our job is not done yet. We will continue to expand our operations and services until every patient has a matching donor and the hope for a second chance at life.
