#4 – Linux Tutorial Series – Resolving Full Screen Issue in CentOS by installing Guest Additions

Hello Folks,

My Name is Ashok Joshi. I’m from Bangalore, India. I like Linux and work with it daily. In this video, We will try to troubleshoot the issue that we were facing at the time we had installed CentOS 8 in our Oracle VM Virtualbox where the Virtual Machine was looking very small. We will install Guest Additions CD Image to make the CentOS VM look Full Screen inside Virtualbox. Here are the commands below that i have used in the video to troubleshoot the issue :

$ su

$ yum update

$ yum install tar bzip2 kernel-devel kernel-headers perl gcc make elfutils-libelf-devel

$ reboot

After this Click – Devices – Insert Guest Addtions CD image and Run..

  • Hi AJ Media. I would like to thank you very much for your contribution. I am fallowing your series and i really apricate it. But for this specific series when i put the $ yum install tar bzip2 kernel-devel kernel-headers perl gcc make elfutils-libelf-devel and reboot after that. It crash and gave me Could not mount the media/drive 'C:Program FilesOracleVirtualBox/VBoxGuestAdditions.iso' (VERR_PDM_MEDIA_LOCKED). under Details and the result code also

    Result Code:

    E_FAIL (0x80004005). I understand it's not organized but i hope you understand the problem
