  • I am so happy that crApple make rubbish overpriced products because they allowed me to retire at 50 after fixing their rubbish for 20 years. I was charging £60-£75/hour plus parts to repair their laptops after the "genius" bar said to my customers "it's not repairable so you should buy another macbook despite this one being crap". I suppose that's why Apple is worth trillions of dollars and why I've retired so thank you for buying their crap and getting me to fix their design flaws caused by a deliberate use of cheap components…🙏🙏😍

  • These components fail after 3 years. Coincidentally, Apple Care covers your machines for the same period of time.

  • Why are all the problems related to capacitors and seemingly serving random functions?

Do you think this could have something to do with using non-apple/standard chargers/dongles?

  • Great video! Hope to learn more about microelectronic repairs or MacBooks when I watch more!

  • What if just remove the dead capacitor without replacement?

  • No it’s not easy you got to know what your doing plus the tools and parts

  • Fascinating.

My Macbook M1 had the screen go black after 14 months of light and limited use. 2 months after the warranty ended.

Just one day it wasn't working. Apple store told me to buy another Macbook essentially, since it wasn't worth repairing (vs refurb) and I was out of warranty.

I still have no idea what went wrong with it, so now it is used as a mini desktop for compiling iOS/Mac apps, and nothing else really. I can use an external monitor thankfully also

  • not a macbook, but a gaming laptop
I had the same experience of the laptop decided to die after its warranty period was ended lol

  • Please replace apples crappy capacitors with better ones where you can

  • 7:50 what is the program for keeping records of repaired equipment? can you recommend something free for this?

  • So is it safe to buy an used MBP M1 Pro or should I buy a new one?

  • Can you please recommend me a new MacBook pro laptop
    With least problems?

  • You should be able to press the button on the side of your usbC meter to swap the display rotation.

  • Spend 2k and dead on 2nd day after warranty 😅 pain

  • Injecting voltage is last measure to find issue after all other tests/inspections passed. Before doing so, normal technicians remove board from chassis and make at least visual inspection and try to find possible issue, testing all power on signals and removing suspicious elements using logic and power on procedure manual. Only when all easily removable elements removed and no options left than you can inject voltage. And you doing it just from the start. You can't tell what exactly caused shortage before removing the board. And there is real possibility that board shortage caused by solder balls (or something else). And after injecting voltage you can cause other elements to die durning injection, making problem worse and possibly recoverable board dead permanently. Solder balls can be there from factory or after one or few elements overheating and pushing out excessive amount under itself. You can't call this video as repair. I see only rolling the dice and expecting the better.

  • So if customers took these machines to Apple what would the Apple solution be? Replace the capacitors too or replace the entire logic board for far more money ?

  • I bought a m2 air and I am now worried about a tiny ceramic cap blowing up and killing my hopes and dreams next year

  • Apple has becomed a unethical retailer, Apple's shareholders are not interested in computers or repaire them and least care about you experience.

Apple just want to sell as much as possible

  • I would 3D print nice enclosure for the Android phone and camera. When working it’s easy to drop the phone and it will probably land on protruding camera damaging it or the USB-C port.

  • For a moment, I thought the screen was bent. 😂😂

  • Thats a great video, but I dont think its worth it to repair these computers. You have to go to too much trouble, but I am impressed
