Atari VCS- Installing Windows and Ubuntu on internal SSD
Coming to you once again from the isolation chamber/fallout shelter/dungeon of doom, we are back . For this video, I decided to do a step by step tutorial on how to install Windows 10, and Linux (Ubuntu) on the internal SSD of the Atari VCS, since it seems that there are still people out there who are having issues. Word of warning, following these steps will erase whatever you have on the M.2 SSD drive, so if there is anything important there, make sure to back it up. These are the steps that worked for me, of course YMMV. There may be better ways to do it than I am doing here, feel free to comment any suggestions below.
One word of warning, the Win2USB option that I used (the free one) only works with Windows 10 Home edition, to use Windows 10 Pro you would have to upgrade to the paid version, otherwise you may be able to use Rufus to create the drive (which is free). It didn’t affect me as I have a spare windows 10 home key (that I need to find LOL), though I suppose you could install home initially, and then upgrade to Pro once it is installed.
