Enable or Disable the mini menu for PDF files in Microsoft Edge
The mini menu for PDF files is a new feature in Microsoft Edge. You can use this feature to enable a mini menu for text selection in the PDF reader. The feature has added only limited items in the context menu unlike the traditional one. This option is enabled by default but not every user may find it useful therefore you can turn this feature off in the Settings. Enable or Disable the mini menu for PDF files in Microsoft Edge
To enable or disable the mini menu for PDF files in the Edge browser, follow the below suggestions:
- At first, open the Microsoft Edge browser.
- Click on the Settings and more (Alt+F) button and select Settings.
- From the left pane, select the Appearance tab.
- Scroll down to the Context menus section.
- Turn on the “Show mini menu when selecting text in PDFs” toggle button to enable the feature.
- If you want to disable the mini menu for PDF files, turn off the same toggle button.

To get it started, open the Microsoft Edge browser first.
Now go to the top-right corner of the page and click on the three-dotted horizontal button to open the menu list. Alternatively, you can use the Alt+F keyboard shortcut to open the menu list directly.
From the menu list, select the Settings option.
On the Settings page, click on the Appearance tab from the left.
As an alternative, you can type the following text in the Microsoft Edge address bar and press Enter to open the Appearance tab directly:
edge://settings/appearance
Then move to the right pane and scroll down to the Context menus section.
Under Context menus, turn on the “Show mini menu when selecting text in PDFs” toggle button next to enable the mini menu for PDF files in Microsoft Edge.
However, if you don’t like the feature, you can disable it by turning off the same toggle button.
