GAME-BASED TEACHING TOOL: Clash Toward Advancement
TOPIC: Technology, Humanity, and the Future
Clash Toward Advancement is based on Game of the Generals with modified pieces but same rules. In this contemporary world, the technology plays a significant role in obtaining the good life. It leads the society to create great inventions that makes our life easy and more comfortable than before. It also brings pleasure and happiness to human kind that’s why the pieces of this game are technologies and the flag stand for good life because it represents that the technology leads us to good life and according to Aristotle once we live a good life we can attain permanent happiness.
This project followed the following steps:
1. Every piece has a corresponding role that will be explained by the moderator.
2. The game is played by 2 players and 1 moderator. The players will strategize on how they could protect the good life (flag) they have.
3. Pieces can be moved one space forward, backward, left, right, but not diagonally.
4. Once a piece is moved, the moderator will then see if who has a lower-rank or outdated technology.
5. The first one to obtain a good life (flag) from the opponent will win the game.
