An introduction to the Global COVID Certificate Network
Navigating a world of COVID certificates and passes: An introduction to the Global COVID Certificate Network
Linux Foundation Public Health (LFPH) has recently announced a new project, the Global COVID Certificate Network (GCCN), aimed at shaping the global implementation of COVID certificates. GCCN will operationalize and adapt the Interoperability Blueprint that just came out of the Good Health Pass Collaborative (GHPC), an initiative launched earlier this year to define what makes a digital health pass “good” and sets out standards for ensuring that digital health passes deliver the privacy and security of health certificates. LFPH has co-led the drafting of the Interoperability Blueprint at GHPC and is now turning the recommendations into reality. In this talk, we’ll discuss the aim of GCCN to create a trust mechanism for jurisdictions to be able to verify each other’s COVID certificate and a complete toolkit for them to build the system of certificate issuance and verification.
Panelists Discussion:
Ken Ebert, CTO, Indicio (moderator)
Lucy Yang, Community Director of the COVID-19 Credentials Initiative (hosted by LFPH)
Kaliya Young (aka Identity Woman), Ecosystems Director of the COVID-19 Credentials Initiative, and co-chair of the GHPC Interoperability Working
