Marvel’s Avengers IP address bug fixed

Crystal Dynamics has released a new patch for Marvel’s Avengers that fixes a bug in the game which showed PS5 players’ IP addresses.

Taking to Twitter, the developers shared: “Patch 1.8b has been published and fixes the issue that was occurring on PS5 where sensitive information was displayed on screen. PS5 players are safe to stream now.”

The bug was introduced alongside Patch 1.8.0 which launched on June 22 and saw the introduction of new villain Monica and the Cosmic Cube Event. Shortly after the bug was noticed by players, Crystal Dynamics promised a hotfix would be coming and warned players not to stream the game to avoid leaking personal information.

Meanwhile, as of today, an MCU inspired Captain America outfit will be available in the game’s marketplace.

Revealed on the game’s official Twitter account, they wrote: “Avengers, assemble.
“Inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America’s Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Endgame” Outfit features a leader preparing for battle with his iconic shield.
“Get it in the Marketplace on June 24!”
