Also, how can you say Ubuntu is user friendly anymore? 95 percent of new Linux users are coming from a Windows background. I have converted my entire family and a lot of my customers over the years to Linux. If I show them Ubuntu with Gnome as the DE, they hate it and have a hard time finding anything. As soon as I put them in front of Linux mint , they automatically know how and where to find everything because it is familiar AND user friendly.
Mint is based on Ubuntu, 100% of all Ubuntu support, software, suggestions, how-to's and so on, work on Mint. Literally everything that works on Ubuntu works on Mint. So how does Ubuntu have a wider range of software support?
