Now that pfSense has been limited for home use down to CE, I don't believe this is the one to go to now. CE is an afterthought, and will still be ignored with the exception of once a year (if even that much) for updates. They just announced Plus (the version they wanted everyone to change to) won't be free any longer.
trying so hard to be funny but not. annoying personality.
I've been watching a few of your videos lately and I love the content. Its always well edited and a very professional looking production (from what I can tell as a nobody lol), so I dont mean this as an insult at all, I'm hoping there's a special type of mic I dont know about but do you have a video explaining your audio equipment and setup? I dont know if this is common in youtube videos but it sounds to me like you recorded the audio in a studio like setup, very close to a really nice mic. It doesnt sound like you're using a boom mic or wireless mic but I could be wrong. So I'm assuming your video and audio are two separate files synced up and joined together so you get really good quality audio without spending a ton on multiple mics and stuff like that. It sounds great, it just sounds too good for you to be this far away from the mic in my opinion but im no expert. It makes sense to have the option to edit the audio and then sync and blend it into the video, but if I'm wrong I'm really curious which mics you use because they sound great. I hope this didn't come across as a jab or insult, I'm genuinely curious, I've done a lot of AV in churches and auditoriums but all live sound mixes. I'm new to filming youtube videos, sorry if this was a dumb question.
Hey man. So, I live in a Valley inside a national park but metro. I can only get 4G/5G modem but it can't get 5G only because trees and a few obstacles.. I bought a new 5G Antenna on the roof and is rad. Can get almost 1000mbit oif I walk 100m and point it to the good tower…
Anyway, since I have to use a Telstra (Australian main telco) that gives you a closed system rebadged modem and the Sim card is locked to the hardware and if you go too far from your house it is GPS locked also. Furthermore, I even some what made an inline amp to give some watts to the passive antenna.. but within 20 mins the tower auto knew and blocked me.
so, any tips to make the MIMO antenna that has SMA cables plugged into the modem.. Do you know of a digital type display where you can modify the MHZ to send out. like 3580-3600mhz.. or multiple bands. But just specifiy the mhz, so I can change them as time goes along and mhz space gets rented out over the years
Can NAS be connected to this?
Question. @ 24:45 where did you get your username/password?
that god i am 10 seconds into the video and already watching a sponsor ad nice
I'll stick with DD-WRT.
It does everything, and then more.
Like wireless bridging.
Why pfsense vs vyos virtual router?
my fritz box can do all that
I can’t run PFSense on it…. To bad/
Too complicated for me 😂
What distro are you running in this video?
A fellow Harry Potter fan I see…
although I like pfsense, come to find out it does not handle multiple vlans. I tested and setup 3 vlans, and communication did not happen. The only way for pfsense to work is on a single vlan…. too bad it can not route / communicate more then 1
What can be cheapest routers on which i can install pfsense?
Man, networking gets complicated.
Hey brother.. re-watching this video. SO good. Really appreciate you. Didn't realize you're also in the Dallas area.
– In Christ.. liberoj
have all of this in my #MikroTik…
and in old mainstream routers with custom #openwrt firmware.
I recently purchased the Protectli Vault (8gb ram, 120mSATA) and I was a bit lost in the understanding pfsense. You made it not only easier to understand but did it with great humor!
pfSense vs opnSense
Bro the drastic camera angle changes are toooooo much
chuck always makes me really want coffee
Could I use Raspberry pi with external eth cards?
lol i have that router, but then i saw this video
Redhat can vacuum my Richard.
and then ……. I lost interest in your provarication
opnsense bro
should have labeled this video how to include a pf sense in home network not saying at the beginning to throw router away. i almost clicked off the video cause getting rid of my router isnt an option
nice video ….had to slow it down to 75% in order to follow along, but excellent
My firewall is pfSense on a Qotom mini PC. My first firewall/router was Slackware Linux, running ipchains.
BTW, cut the inane chatter. It adds nothing but detracts from the presentation. I couldn't finish the video because of it.
My game could improve with all this knowledge
I don't have a home rotor so there's no sense in changing mine that but they keep hacking me all the
I would love to see open source project that is user frendly and easy to use.Something like Firewalla firewals.Internet security for average guy must be priority numuber one.I hope that one day a group experienced software programars will give us something like that.heck i would pay,but firewalla is tooo expensive. And i do know firewall software solution like ipfire, fireewall free, open sense, sophos etc. They just not my cup of tea.Does anybody knows about any other user frendly free firewall software that i can install on orange pi rasp pi ?
Man, so many things to learn, damn ! Please, let me know if it's possible to assign multiply WAN for backup network or load balancing on this dude ? Merci 🙂
Ps/ What's you think about Sofos free solution as UTM ?
