  • SOME EXTRA TIPS:
    1. To run the File explorer you can run Task manager ( press and hold Shift and Ctrl and then press Esc) click File-> Run new task-> Browse and use that windows as explorer.
    2. If method in this video didn't work for you then try next: Open "C:users[your user account]" folder. In case if you see two Desktop folders with one of them blank and the other with your Desktop files and icons then you need to delete the blank one.
Next, copy the desktop folder with your desktop items from “C:Users[your user account]” folder to “C:Windowssystem32configsystemprofile” and finally restart your PC.
    3. If it still doesn't work then press and hold Win key and press R key. Next type "control userpasswords2" and press enter (without quotation marks). Click Add and simply create a new profile. It will create a new profile with all your apps so you don't need to reinstall windows.
    4. If it says it says "access denied" so you can't access folder or create a new one then you have to boot into recovery mode. Watch this video from 00:53 to 1:26

Using that explorer window under system account you can get access to any files.
