A ups can last like 5- 30 minutes( depending on pc), it's main purpose is for you to save something during a power outage, instead of it getting corrupted.
( Note: when pluged into an outlet and there is no power outage, it will be like your pc is plugged into the outlet and the ups will be charging.)
Power of your house doesn't have a role, a psu evens it out, but your components like your gpu( most common) or cpu can cause a power request spike( higher demand for power for a singular milisecond) , but can't cause a crash/freeze what so ever. For your case, it could be a faulty processor, ssd, power supply or motherboard.
Just so everyone knows: the day after this stream, the faulty new PC was exchanged for a working new PC. He is good to go.
