  • Hello

At my company I have been using Pandora FMS to monitor the internal network. It can handle Netflow, SNMP, ICMP and TCP protocols. It can perform webchecks and complex server monitoring. If you'd want more information visit the following webpage: http://pandorafms.com/

  • Just wanted to add: CloudView NMS server run on Windows/Linux/Mac – actually on any Unix , the server has its local GUI, but you can also access the info form any web browser, including mobile devices

  • Well, we actually used some of the described tools. And we ended up using CloudView NMS : Search them with Google. They just have the right set of features for us : can monitor/manage practically anything (SNMP, TL1, services, web access, servers…). The system discovered our network, put in maps (they use Google maps). Scalable to thousands of nodes and unlike others they do not charge as your network grows – from my point of view very important feature :-).

  • Try Enigma NMS from NETSAS Pty Ltd, which is me 🙂
For links google – "Enigma NMS"
If you have less than 20 nodes to manage you can use for free forever.
Largest deployment is over 4000 nodes and 200,000 monitored interfaces, 1min stats never rolled.

  • this link doesn't seem to be up to date. any suggestions on network monitoring software. i have a few people i'm sharing my net with agreed they don't bog it down with mass-downloads. i don't think they are holding out on the deal and i would like to find out. the world of network monitoring software can be sketchy. its not the kind of software you want to install from some random joe who may have put in some code to also monitor you remotely. (including CC and other vital ID info)

  • This software is for people who know a thing about networking. That is why you found it that way.

  • @mcination

  • Hey, do you remember when you called someone a geek on the internet (which by the way gets paid and gets free stuff doing what he does) even though you yourself sit here and waste time commenting on youtube to try to annoy some guy that probably never looks at his youtube. Yeah, I'm sorry, but you, Sir, seem to have no life.

  • It's a great tool. If you have $1500…

  • unistalling.. this program sucks
