  • "Everyone" says that the original Deck had a 400nits screen. That's just wong! Valve undersells it, like most of their stuff. Watch eg. Takis or DFs videos about it, it has more like 520-540nits.

  • Cyberpunk has one of the worst HDR implementations out there. You picked a bad game to showcase this. Just look at the elevated black floor on your waveform overlay.

  • The ally is cheaper tho and has double the cores so not sure why anyone would buy this

  • The 2-3 fps perf improvement might not sound like much, but I've noticed that it often makes a difference in whether certain games can hit the frame limit or not and that makes a big difference with perceived smoothness.

  • if logging into your pc steam account using the QR Code,,, then,, HOW do you log into this if you forget your password so you NEVER have to waste money to purchase the games again!?? steam is very terrible when it comes to reseting password because you never do and only lets you set up a NEW steam account!!??😢😢😢

  • That older CPU may well become something of a millstone rather soon with the advances being made elsewhere and it is an expensive proposition. I don't think that Valve will be able to last long without a Steam Deck 2.

Now i got the Portal (amazing screen) but it just doesnt run well, maybe updates will fix the latency and stability. But this steam deck might be the machine for me…i was a pc gamer too.   • The used market for the original model is terrible if you're trying to sell one. So unless I can sell off my original Steam Deck, I'm gonna have to hold off on the OLED

  • I do use the steam deck a lot its been my way of playing games for a while so to me at least i woulds I might wait to get a discounted steam oled model in the future. and than just swap my ssd I upgraded in the future. I have said in the past that i wish the steam deck had better battery and an oled screen so to this is everything I asked for.

  • 3 fps is the difference between rock solid 30fps and fps that jumps between 27 and 30 alot
