Vodafone UK 4G LTE Band 20 800Mhz Speed Test on iPhone 5s

The title says it all. Vodafone also has access to the Band 7 2600Mhz spectrum which will provide a higher bandwidth capacity in urban areas, however this has not been deployed at the time time video was made.

Apologies for the woodpecker tapping sound which was a consequence of leaving my camera set to continuous auto-focus.

  • LOL i use vodafone in albania and the avg 4g lte speed is 80-90mbit/s like.. 😐🙌

  • Vodafone barely gets 2g in areas that aren't arou big cities like London or Manchester, even in the city centre of a fairly large city such as Plymouth and hsdpa is all you can get.

  • I think you will find the sound is your cameras auto focus rather than any interference

  • The woodpecker noise was interference from the LTE signal on my phone and the camera's audio recording equipment.

  • I get the same speed on Tesco (o2) 4G network

  • Hi Brian. Do know if there is an app i can use to find out the band frequency on iOS or Android?

  • On a separate note, Vodafone has fantastic LTE coverage where their HSPA coverage fails, such as in my office where my HSPA MiFi device struggles. Thus their bad HSPA coverage isn't a reflection of their LTE network's performance.

  • EE's fastest network works on LTE-A not LTE. This technology isn't compatible with our current devices so I don't see why you're promoting it here. It's like promoting Hyperoptic which offers 1Gbps fibre in the UK which is inaccessible to most people anyway. The device used in this video is a standard iPhone 5s.

  • I'm afraid most independent network analysts disagree with your claim that Voda has the biggest and fastest network. Root Metrics for example gave it to EE hands down. Also what was the woody woodpecker noise in the background?!

  • Christian Gospodinov: This is the original Apple leather case. It's available in some Apple stores and on their website.

  • theys almost no one on vodafone 4g so ofcause its going to be fast
