This presentation is about several of our less than usual Cassandra related problems and solutions in Audience Manager, the largest Cassandra deployment in Adobe. Why the TokenAware policy was not really used despite being setup, and what happened after fixing it. How and why a split brain situation was created on purpose in a production environment. How the handling of the AWS degraded hardware notifications was fully automated. If time allows some architecture details will also be presented which allowed us to use a replication factor of 2.
