That muffler is a knock off of a VW Mexico unit. I’ve actually heard some of the Chinese carburetors aren’t that bad but he’d be better off with a real Solex rebuilt by Volks Bitz like yours. That one he has is a Brazilian Bocar; affiliated with Solex. That block seems to have been a factory refurbished block. I’ve seen those.
