What is SNMP? #shorts
What is SNMP? Simple Network Management Protocol. It is a protocol that is used to collect information and monitor network devices like switches, firewalls, routers, access points, printers and servers. It communicates system status and configuration using a MIB (Management Interface Base). There are 3 revisions of SNMP, v1, v2c and v3. Version 3 is the most recent and most secure revision. Most network monitoring applications will communicate using SNMP.
