How DHCP Server Works In Telugu #ethicalhacking #cybersecurity #networking

A DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server works as follows:

When a client device (such as a computer or smartphone) connects to a network, it sends a DHCP Discover message, requesting an IP address from any available DHCP server.
The DHCP server receives the Discover message and responds with a DHCP Offer message, offering an available IP address to the client.
The client receives the Offer message and sends a DHCP Request message, confirming its acceptance of the offered IP address.
The DHCP server receives the Request message and sends a DHCP Acknowledge (ACK) message to the client, confirming the allocation of the IP address.
The client device configures its network interface with the allocated IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and other network settings provided in the ACK message.
The client device can now communicate on the network using the assigned IP address.
DHCP servers typically lease IP addresses for a specific duration, known as the lease time. Before the lease expires, the client can renew the lease by sending a DHCP Request message to the server.
If the client disconnects from the network or the lease expires without renewal, the DHCP server can reclaim the IP address and make it available for other devices.
